Adventure of the Day

So, school has been going on for the past few weeks and I've been pretty busy with school until 2:20, riding the bus and getting home at 3:50 and going to work at 4:15. Needless to say there isn't a lot of breathing room. Anyway I've been pretty good at keeping up with my hectic schedule but I have been a little stressed. Well this morning I woke up with a little surprise on my top lip, (and no it was not a handsome male kissing me in honor of national kissing day,) it was in fact a cold sore. *GASP*!!! And for those of you who are not familiar with the effect that a common cold sore has on me then let me clue you in. Whenever I get a cold sore it looks as if I've injected myself with botox on only the right side of my upper lip, therefore giving me the look of angelina jolie from my right profile .......that, or a fish. Anyway I'm accustomed to this form of cancer on my lip so I've devised a few ways to draw attention away from my lip, which are strange but nevertheless effective. 1st I wear my hear down and have it as far front in my face as possible. 2nd I bring my lower lip just above and resting on my upper lip to create a somewhat even looking lip, creating a hint of a smile. 3rd I avoid people as much as possible which doesn't work very well on days I have to go to work.

*disclaimer these methods don't actually draw attention away from you completely but draws peoples attention to something more obvious*

I'm sorry I couldn't take a picture of my lip but the swelling has already started to go down because I started using abreva on it which, unlike my methods of drawing attention away from my lip, it actually works in speeding up the healing process and eliminating the problem altogether! Until nextime...................
